It has been an early start today! A contract client called the office at 7am – their issue was that the the PC that runs the hotel booking and billing system was down.
It took a short time to collect up some spares and tools but we turned out and had their system back up and running just before 9am.
We have regular reviews of the disaster recovery plans for our clients, but a system crash such as this will always trigger an extraordinary review, and we have scheduled this for Monday. We never get complacent.
