Memory Map iPhone Problems
This is an app I use a lot – Memory Map is an Ordnance Survey map. GPS navigation app which I use when I go walking. I bought the full version of the app, within hours of getting my iPhone 4, at the end of 2010, so I could use my extensive collection of OS maps on my phone – this is an essential item when I am walking and backpacking.
When I first started the app my loaded maps did not show, even though they were listed in iTunes File Sharing window. At first I was not too concerned, I logged into my Memory Map account to check the licenses, I entered my account details into the app, I tried restoring my in app purchases but none of these things worked. Next tried the help pages suggested by Memory Map but most of these gave this result 
– it was not my connection but them pointing their users at dead web pages.
I did find some help pages on the American site but no help. The forums were also not available. I have sent an email, to their technical support but I have not had a reply yet.
As it was I solved the problem myself – I deleted the maps from iTunes File Sharing and simply reloaded them – then when I went to Memory Map on my iPhone the maps were again available to load. I was happy having got this app to work as I am off to Scotland next Friday for two weeks walking and all my proposed routes and maps are loaded into this app.
