For a change I was rebuilding a laptop today, whilst Martin was out and about do the IT Support across Lincolnshire.

As part of this job, I had to check the backups before deleting the data on the hard drive – it is better to be safe than sorry. We are always happy to check client backups before we proceed with a job.
One of the services we offer at Octagon is a daily backup check by email. To improve on this checking, once a week one of us actually logs into the backup systems to check all is working OK. Some clients value their backups that they pay for us to carry out daily log in checks rather than relying on an automated system.
Top tip – backing up is essential, if you are unsure about your backup status talk to someone before it becomes a crisis.
