I was called out to one of our contract clients on Sunday. There are still viruses out there that can’t be simply caught by most of the antivirus products on the market. For example they can end up coming to you by email, like this one:
These can appear to be from legitimate sources such as Companies House. The Virus is contained in the zip file attachment. You only have to click it and that’s when you will become infected. Be Vigilant as some of the viruses are extremely destructive and can lock you out of all your data. Plus anything you are connected to like a server share or shared drive. Once it gets on the shared drive it will affect other users as well.
Be mindful of which attachments you click on.
