Last month Clive and Connor attended the Sleaford Schools Career Event. They were answering the questions of the Year 9 and 12 students about a career in the IT industry. It was an incredibly busy event as there were approximately 380 Year 9 and Year 12 students from both Sleaford and Ruskington campuses.
It is a part of our business culture to help young people with their career path. In the last few years, we had few young people joining the team to complete their work experience in the area of IT Support. We also gave some interesting and information-rich talks to some local schools.
I joined the team through the Graduate Internship Scheme soon after I completed my degree in Business and Marketing at University of Lincoln and Connor joined us through the Government Apprenticeship Scheme. I’m currently working towards completion of my Masters degree in Management at University of Lincoln. Jeremy only just returned from Heriot-Watt University where he studies for a Masters degree in Mathematics. He is now going to help the Octagon team with their marketing activities over the summer holiday.
