Your belovèd Windows 7 won’t be around for next Valentine’s Day. Cue for wailing, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments? Or just another example of Project Fear?
A whopping forty percent of all PC users still count on Windows 7 as it has been the most popular version of all time. Most of these bought their PC with Windows 7 already installed, or maybe they built their own PC and installed Windows 7 themselves – these versions of Windows 7 will not be supported after 14 January 2020.
Actually, Windows 7 will still work after the cut-off date of 14 January 2020, but it really is not advisable to carry on using it, as you won’t be able to get security updates any more, and as we all know, that is really dangerous… Quite apart from anything else, if you are running a business, you would fall foul of the dreaded GDPR. Businesses are required to use appropriate software to process data, and using a non-supported system is definitely not appropriate!
So, remember to put a big kiss on your last ever Valentine card to Windows 7 and gird your loins to face the future, with our help of course!
