Impact of Coronavirus on your Business

Coronavirus – COVID-19

I am sure you are all aware of the current state of affairs relating to Coronavirus. Here at Octagon we are already helping businesses to be able to work from an isolated environment.

The Government states that if you think you have Coronavirus the first thing you must do is to call 111 and do not visit a doctor or A&E, then self-isolate at your home for a minimum of 2 weeks or until it is confirmed you are clear

Check the NHS and gov.uk for up-to-date details

We have clients that are taking steps to prevent the virus from getting spread by implementing hand washing or gel on entry and exit of their buildings.

What happens if your building has to be quarantined? E.g. closed for a period to be disinfected. How will you be able to work?

What is the solution?

The best way around this is to move your services to Microsoft 365 for Business. This allows you to access your data from pretty much anywhere on any device. You can even hold meetings via the built in TEAMS app without the worry of catching something.

This is the perfect solution for you if you want peace of mind knowing that your important data is in a safe place!

Clive Catton, Octagon’s Chief Information Officer, always includes in his security presentations for businesses how Office 365 can mitigate against the “insider threat” to business information, he says “… I especially like the easy to use two factor authentication and the ability, if needed, to deny a person or device access to sensitive business data… ”.

We will help

We can deliver Office 365 for Business and its tools to your workforce. With this solution you and your staff will be able to access your emails, calendars, contact and other important business documents anywhere and anytime on any of your devices, knowing that your data is stored on UK-based servers

It gives you:

  • Reliability – they are the Office tools you know Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Connectivity – services include Exchange, OneDrive (perfect solution for data storage), SharePoint (excellent for data sharing) and Microsoft Teams (hub for teamwork to connect your teams)
  • UK-based support – you can rest assured that we are here whenever you need support

With this solution you will benefit from:

  • Our experience with supplying and supporting these solutions for a wide range of clients, commercial to charities, one person companies to many staff
  • Flexibility of access and devices – work from the train or from an office on your PC, smartphone or Mac.
  • Peace of mind knowing that you have taken the steps to comply with UK law
