So it is coming round to the Christmas holiday season so that means I get another opportunity to bring you my Geek’s Christmas Present List.
If you have a geek in your life these suggestions hopefully will give you some ideas what to get them for their stockings… If you are a geek then forward this post on to your family, friends and significant other and see what you get!
The list is just for fun – I searched Jeff’s shop for my ideas, but no affiliate links here.
From everyone at Octagon we wish you a great Christmas and a prosperous 2022.

The Geeky Chef Cookbooks
We are off to a strong start this year – a threefer. Real-life recipes for your fantasy food and drink. The sources listed are a geek’s dream, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Doctor Who, The Lord of the Rings, Minecraft and on and on.
IF Bookaroo Notebook Tidy
I have included this gift because of a post one of our clients put on LinkedIn. Carrie raised the question “do you use a digital or paper diary?”. I prefer a digital diary and digital notebook (iPad, Apple Pencil and MS OneNote), Carrie preferred the paper version. Here is the ideal present for people like Carrie who have paper calendars and notebooks. It will hold a pen and your digital gadgets, bringing both together.
Rocketbook Fusion Smart Reusable Notebook
The combination of geeky tech and traditional pen and paper. The various pages can be written on, then using an app (of course) transferred to your favourite electronic notebook – the image below comes from the Rocketbook website and shows your cloud storage options. Once transferred or not needed any more, the the pages can be cleaned (erased) and reused. It saves the planet as well.
No more cutting down trees for your paper notebooks – Diana is very environmentally minded so I bought her one of these books. You could fit the IF Bookaroo Notebook Tidy to the cover of the smaller versions of the Rocketbook Fusion.

James Bond Pen
There is always space on the Geek Present list for a James Bond style multi-tool pen. This year’s offering is good value for any gadget geek – two pens with nine tools, including a spirit level, bottle opener, screw drivers, an LED light etc, and they write too.
Multi Tool Pen, Lytool 2 Pcs Multitool Pen
Or this version as the one above sold out!
Reality Glitch Spaceship Timeline T-shirt
This present combines multiple genres in one gift – for the geek who cannot make up their mind. Various colours are available – I was criticised by Diana for choosing such a dull colour for the illustration.

Star Trek Uniform Wallet
This looks discreet enough to use at work and not get too many raised eyebrows.
Star Trek Starfleet Command Suit Yellow ID & Card Bi-Fold Wallet
Star Wars Periodic Table Of Elements
This one is for the die-hard Star Wars fan.
Star Wars Periodic Table Of Elements Graphic T-Shirt
Question: What was the first Star Wars movie called?
Answer: If you know that Han Solo shot first, then you know the answer I am looking for. Let me know on LinkedIn what your answer is – there will be a prize draw for the right answers.
There is also a Marvel version.

Lego Keyrings
There are many versions of this type of keyring – search Amazon or Google and choose your geek hero. My choice is the Invincible Iron Man.

Although I did find Sheldon’s favourite – A Flash flashlight.

Tea Programming Language Mug
A simple set of instructions to keep the mug full. Although for completeness there should have been var coffee and a step to choose.

As you have reached the end of the present list for 2021 – here are a couple of articles I have written about Sir Clive Sinclair who passed away this year:
Come back in 2022 when I will be making geeky gift suggestions for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day – and as Diana has reminded me (thanks) I should do one for Grandfather’s day!
