After many weeks, if not months of planning and organising, the 20th anniversary party day has finally come.
The morning began with the staff full English breakfast at one of our favourites local cafes.
Our delicious cake by Angels Desserts arrived just before 2:00pm and after that it was the party time.
We celebrated the 20th anniversary hosting over 80 guests at Refectory, Bishop Grosseteste University on June 24th. The venue was beautiful and all staff was friendly and welcome.
Diana said: ‘It was wonderful to see everyone at our party last week. It was a good way to celebrate twenty years with our friends, clients, associates, suppliers and hardworking team and thank them for contributing to this significant achievement.’
Clive Catton, Technical Director said: ‘We have come a long way since our launch 20 years ago. Some faces have changed in our team and some of our clients are still with us since 1995, the technologies we work with today were the things of Sci-Fi when we first set up, recessions come and go but Octagon Technology is still here.’
Diana said: ‘I just wanted to say what a fabulous day we had and what a tribute to teamwork, our employees worked very hard to make the party happen. It was lovely to see so many people I had not seen for a long time.’
Clive said: ‘The afternoon was a great success. I would like to thank to the friendly and welcome staff at B&G Venues for allowing us to use their venue; it really did make for the perfect business anniversary for us. Thanks to Fiona Harris at Angels Desserts for making a delicious and beautiful cake. Thanks to Helen Wheatley, Travel Counsellor for donating a visit to Kew Gardens and Palace for Two, which helped us raise £253 for LIVES.’
Steve Hyde, Fundraising & Marketing Manager at LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service) said: ‘I was thrilled when I heard Octagon had chosen LIVES as their Charity to benefit from the fundraising at their 20th Anniversary Party. We have had a long relationship with Octagon Technology and value from expertise they bring to our organisation. The £253 raised will be a great help for the local groups, the donation will pay for much needed medical supplies. Thanks to everyone at Octagon Technology for their support and we look forward to working with them for the next twenty years.’
