Here’s why your computer’s storage may be struggling…
Slow or unresponsive computers are frustrating and can cause a major bottle-neck in business. There are several causes for Windows 10 users having poor PC performance and here are some of the main culprits:
Windows Update
Your computer may be trying to download or install Windows updates. Sometimes the process can crash and cause performance issues. There are a couple of ways to fix this – you can restart the service or you can try uninstalling the last installed update.
Antivirus
If your antivirus software is out of date, it could be taking up system resources while installing or downloading the update.
Restart your antivirus software, or disable it temporarily.
Run Check disk
You can also try checking your drive for errors using “Check Disk”.
In an explorer window, go to “This PC” then right click the “Local Disk (C:)” drive and go to “Properties”. Under the “Tools” tab, click “Check” under error checking.
