Clive's Cyber News

Clive’s weekly Cyber Security roundup – 8 July 2022

The National Cyber Security Centre issued more advice this week in relationship to the Ukraine Russia conflict. The concern is for businesses and organisations having to sustain high levels of cyber security readiness as the conflict progresses – they offer advice on how to manage the situation and people, to keep peak performance.

There is always news about ransomware, so don’t be surprised when new ransomware malware strains are discovered or that ransomware developers are producing updates and now offering bug bounties for users that discover flaws in the malware! There was also news this week, that a ransomware gang has got out of ransomware, before moving onto new cyber crimes, but that, they have shared their decryption keys with VirusTotal – which may be good news for someone out there with encrypted data or someone who is careless in the future and gets infected.

The first “Because It’s Friday” fun quiz was a success.

I am on leave next week, but the cyber security news will continue.
